Jessie Baylin is an awesome singer/songwriter. I admit I only discovered her after hearing she was dating Nathan Followill (drummer for Kings of Leon) and decided to check her out. After listening to some of her songs on youtube I knew I had to have her album! Firesight is by far one of the best musical purchases I've ever made and she's always the first artist I reccommend to people! So for my first new blog I'm dedicating it to the things I love most about the beautiful/talented/awesome Jessie Baylin (yes I think I have a bit of a girl crush on her)! Listen to her now before her next album comes out so you can say you listened to her before she was huge all over the world!

10- She managed to not set herself on fire during the making of the video for "Was I On Your Mind" Any normal person would have third degree burns after that video shoot!

9- Her hair is the envy of every female that I know! (that has seen her!)

8- She always replies to her fans on twitter/myspace/facebook.

7- She's one of those girls that you want to hate for being so awesome but you can't hate her and really want to be her best friend!

6- Listening to Jessie is proven to lower blood pressure. (at least mine anyways)

5- Her wardrobe. She dresses amazing!

4- She's a good sport/has a good sense of humor when it comes to having a hot/sexy rock god fiance who is sought after by many women (not me...I'm a Caleb girl!). For example, joining facebook groups called "i want to pour syrup all over nathan followill and lick it all off"

3- Her voice is heaven.

2- Her lyrics are unique and creative.

1- "See How I Run" is my theme song at the moment. It's inspired me not to be afraid of all the big changes I have coming up in my life! (including moving to TN but I'm not stalking you Jessie! I'm moving there for an awesome job opportunity!)

Even my mom loves Jessie Baylin... She borrowed my car one day and came rushing in the house and asked me first thing (before she said anything else) "What CD is that in your car right now?" I had no idea so I made her tell me what the song was about. She said something about a guy from TN. So I said Tennesee Gem? That's Jessie Baylin. My mom replied (in a very dramatic voice tone) "I really like her!" I'm now down a copy of Firesight. Thank God for my ipod!
